eComDelta's Home Page
Home of the FREE User Editable WYSIWYG web site and a bit of common sense.
What you will find here are the basics for people considering the issues while getting ready to build or update their web presence. A bit of common sense, mixed with real world experience, practical application and some examples that will be helpful to both novice and professionals alike. eComDelta.com's site is built on nearly two decades of experience building websites. While the code base here is fairly new, having recently1 re-engineered our site using PHP/MySQL, from its original legacy ASP form, the overall methodologies are not. The techniques used here showcase the underlying framework that allows for the separation of presentation from content. This site, is in effect, a demonstration of the real world application of these practices. In short, we practice what we preach. This site is built on the code samples provided here. To understand a little more about us and what we have to offer, please visit our About Page.
For anything more than a static, single page "brochure-ware" site, empowering management, marketing and content owners to create and edit their own content directly is a practice that will consistently lower the long term costs of managing a web site for any business, large or small. That is, as long as the editing task is as easy to use as a typical word processor or email program is. Our philosophy however is not ours alone. Much as we would like to claim it, it is also the basis for most "Content Management" systems on the market as well as a core mission for most enterprise level web teams. It is a little like the first human that saw "the wheel" in action, once you see how it works it is just too obvious. So whats next? Well that depends on what you are after.
