Website metrics and custom reporting services.
Website traffic analysis provides a clear picture of who is visiting your site, how they got there, where they are coming from and when they leave. Counting just "hits" is not very informative and is often very misleading. Determining actual page views, how they got there and where they went are critical issues when trying to understand how to better reach your site's objectives.
We would encourage anyone about to invest time and money in such reporting capabilities to first use the cheapest method available to you. Only once you have had a chance to see the reporting over a period of time can you adequately understand how to best use such information as it applies to your individual business model. The value of any such reporting is only as valuable the questions it answers.
Our services are are available in four forms:
- The Basics (consulting and some setup, 199.00)
This is designed for small business just looking for a leg up on what to do and how to do it. For this service we will help you determine your needs and suggest ways to implement them. There lots of ways to produce web site traffic reports, which is the right fit for you has as much to do with how your site is hosted as what questions you need to be answering. Just to name a few: - Custom Marketing Campaign Analysis (per project bid, typically less than 999.00)
Provides customized metrics for email and advertising campaign initiatives. Reported information can include unique per email statistics on received, opened viewed and conversion success rate. - Contract Report Production (an enterprise level solution)
This involves daily reports produced by us to your specification. There is a setup fee (typically 200.00-1,500.00), depending on the complexity and customization of the reports required, the proposed delivery mechanism and who hosts the computing power required to run the reports themselves. A monthly ongoing maintenance fee of between $100.00 and $1500.00 will also be required, again this depends greatly on several of the factors listed above. - Integrated Real-Time Reporting (per project, bid only)
Typically this is only available for database driven sites, but can potentially be retrofitted to any site by modifying the site's pages slightly. The retrofit methodology is similar to placing Google's Urchin tag on a page. This designed to provide real-time answers to who is on your site and what they are viewing and far more client information that is available from a web server's log files. User/Path specific information to better understand how people are using your site along with screen size and browser window size information. This service is in effect an add-on to our Contract Report Production service, but can be very labor intensive to setup depending on your current hosting and web application infrastructure.
